Looking forward to shooting the two on their wedding day in Fernie this year!
A few of my favourites from this lovley beach session!
Enjoy
This engagement session was rescheduled so many times due to crazy weather and the day before my family and I flew out to Tonroto we figured this might be our last chance to make it work! And wouldn't you believe it…we approached Moraine Lake and it started to rain. Not a super big deal right? Well, as we climbed higher it started to snow…alright we can work with this. Well, we climbed even higher and by the time we reach the parking lot we were standing in a full winter storm in June! After meeting up with Melissa and Kurt we decided that no amount of crazy weather was going to stop this shoot from happening and decided to power through! Im so glad we did because I love these photos and this couple. Im really looking forward to shooting their beautiful Autumn wedding this year!
"May your sky always be clear, may your dear smile always be bright and happy, and may you be for ever blessed for that moment of bliss and happiness which you gave to another lonely and grateful heart. Isn't such a moment sufficient for the whole of ones life?
- Dostoyevsky
If there is one thing, and one thing only that I can convey to somebody looking for a photographer to capture their essence, it's this: I care about you. I care about your story, I care about your journey and I care about your future. That's why I put so much heart into my work and try so hard to personalize each session so that you can look at them later and confidently say from your soul - "This is us"
That's what I'm going to work hardest on this year. Instead of concentrating my efforts on perfecting the technical aspect of photography, I want to be inspired by the imperfect people in front of me. Figuring out what makes your connections unique and shining a light on it.
Thank you Danny and Kesha for allowing me into your heart space
- enjoy
Happy 7th year wedding anniversary to this awesome couple who happen to also be parents to 2 pit bulls named Sully and Ramona. This fun-loving bunch enjoys candle-lit dinners and long walks on the beach. At any given time they can be found on top of the ski hill or un-findable in one of the many isolated back-woods camping areas in the Kootenays in their loveable van "Dirty Dina".
Thank you so much to Chad at the Bean Tree for lending us his rad coffee shop after hours for this shoot. And if you haven't ever been to the Bean Tree then shame on you! Make sure if your visiting Kimberley you try them out, and tell them Lucy sent you! They make amazing Lattes!!!
Enjoy xoxo
