Eagle Ranch Invermere, BC Wedding Photographer - Larae + Tanner

Every event is unique, but Larae and Tanner's wedding at Eagle Ranch Resort in Invermere was truly one of a kind. The day began at Copperpoint Resort, where Larae chose to have only her mother by her side as she prepared for the ceremony. Emotions ran high as the moment to leave for the ceremony approached, creating a poignant start to the day.

What made this wedding even more remarkable was the timing—it took place during the peak of wildfire season in BC, adding a layer of uncertainty and drama. However, this did not dampen the spirits of the couple or their guests. In fact, the wildfire's presence contributed to the mystique of the day.

The ceremony itself was a beautiful and intimate affair, with Larae and Tanner exchanging vows surrounded by their loved ones. As soon as they said "I do," an intense wind swept through the area, and dark storm clouds loomed in the distance. Far from being a hindrance, this unexpected turn of events added a dramatic backdrop to the photos taken after the ceremony, creating stunning and unforgettable images.

After the ceremony, the newlyweds decided to take a break and enjoy a casual meal at Peppis Pizza in Invermere before heading to the beach for a champagne toast. Despite the busy sky filled with water bombers, Larae and Tanner's love shone brightly, and they were able to spend the day exactly as they had dreamed, surrounded by family and their closest friends.

Capturing Larae and Tanner's wedding was a reminder of the beauty and unpredictability of life, and how even in the midst of uncertainty, love and joy can shine through. It was an honor to be a part of their special day and to create memories that they will cherish for a lifetime.

Brady Creek Ranch Invermere, BC Wedding Photographer - Susan + Jesse

Every photographer knows that being flexible and ready for anything is part of the job. This was especially true for Susan and Jesse's wedding at Brady Creek Ranch. Originally planning to tie the knot in Kelowna, BC, their plans were thwarted by forest fires, forcing them to find an alternative venue in just a few short weeks.

Despite the challenges, I was fortunate enough to have their wedding date available, and I'm so glad I did. From the moment I arrived, the air was filled with joy and excitement, despite the sweltering heat that enveloped us all. Susan and Jesse's love for each other was palpable, and it was clear that nothing was going to dampen their spirits on this special day.

One of the most heartwarming moments of the day was when Susan and Jesse included their two adorable dogs in the ceremony. The dogs trotted down the aisle, wagging their tails in excitement, much to the delight of everyone present. It was a beautiful reminder of the importance of family, both human and furry, in our lives.

As guests waited for Susan to make her grand entrance, they were treated to a unique sight: a "Beer Man" wandering through the crowd, slinging drinks and ensuring that everyone was in high spirits. It was a fun and unexpected twist that set the tone for the rest of the evening.

The reception, held in a rustic barn, was a sight to behold. Despite the casual setting, every detail was elegant and thoughtfully planned. The catering, provided by a local smokehouse BBQ restaurant, was a hit with everyone, and the atmosphere was lively and full of love.

As the day drew to a close, I stole Susan and Jesse away for a few moments to capture some sunset photos. The sky was beautiful, a fitting backdrop for this couple whose love had weathered its own storm to emerge even stronger.

In the end, Susan and Jesse's wedding at Brady Creek Ranch was a testament to love, resilience, and the beauty of unexpected moments. It was an honor to be a part of their special day, and I know that their love will continue to grow and flourish for years to come.

Fairmont, BC Wedding Photographer - Heather + Ben

Heather and Ben's wedding at Fairmont Hot Springs Resort was a photographers dream, filled with love, joy, and unforgettable moments that I had the honour of capturing.

The day began at Heather's parents' vacation home, where she prepared for her big day surrounded by her closest friends and family. The air was filled with excitement and anticipation as Heather shared emotional moments with her bridesmaids, including a heartfelt first look with her Dad and a dress reveal that left everyone in awe.

We then made our way to Fairmont Hot Springs Resort, where Heather and Ben shared a private first look. Their love and emotion were palpable as they read heartfelt letters to each other, bringing tears to their eyes and mine. The joyous energy continued as we took photos with the wedding party, complete with a champagne toast to celebrate the love and happiness that filled the air.

The ceremony was beautiful and emotional, with Heather and Ben exchanging vows on the stunning ceremony platform. After saying "I do," the newlyweds, along with their wedding party, walked to the old bath house for formal photos, pausing for yet another champagne toast to commemorate the momentous occasion.

The reception, held at Mountainside, was a true reflection of Heather's kind and jovial spirit. Every detail, from the dresses and suits to the florals, decor, and cake, was perfect and added to the magic of the day. It was a celebration filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories that I was privileged to capture.

As I look back on Heather and Ben's wedding day, I am reminded of the beauty of love and the joy that comes with capturing those special moments. It was a day filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories, and I am grateful to have been a part of it.
