In the picturesque town of Invermere BC, amidst the stunning backdrop of the Rockies, I had the pleasure of photographing Leigh and Austin's retro-themed wedding. The day was hot, the sun shining brightly as we embarked on a journey filled with love, laughter, and a touch of vintage charm.
The day started with Leigh, a vision in a sparkling gown that glittered in the sunlight. Her hair was styled elegantly, and her makeup accentuated her natural beauty. Austin, on the other hand, embraced a bold look, sporting a pink suit that exuded confidence, and his braided hair added a touch of whimsy reminiscent of a Viking warrior.
We began with a first look, a moment filled with anticipation and emotion as Leigh and Austin saw each other for the first time that day. The love and joy were palpable, setting the tone for the rest of the celebration.
Next, we headed to the wedding commissioner's house for the small legal ceremony. The intimate gathering lasted about 20 minutes, with heartfelt vows exchanged under the clear blue sky.
After the ceremony, we made our way to Olive Lake in Kootenay National Park for photos. The natural beauty of the surroundings provided the perfect backdrop for capturing unforgettable moments between Leigh and Austin.
The ceremony took place at Upper Ranch, where the retro theme was brought to life with vibrant colors and eclectic decor. One of the groomsmen added a unique touch by walking their cat down the aisle, while their dog was also included in the celebration, adding to the joyous atmosphere.
As the evening progressed, a strong storm whipped through, creating a dramatic scene with a dark sky and a vibrant rainbow. The weather quickly cleared, and the party resumed with even more energy and excitement. The rest of the night was filled with rowdy dancing and joyful celebrations, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
Leigh and Austin's retro wedding was truly a magical experience, and I feel privileged to have been a part of it. Congratulations to the happy couple, may your love continue to shine brightly for years to come.
